That's the whole point of the game, though. It's designed to make you feel a sense of urgency. You're overrun by zombies, people need help, the military is on their way to maybe save everyone. I can agree that there are a LOT of ridiculous circumstances in the game (such as a woman who refuses to come with you to the safehouse unless you're in you underwear like she is.... UGH....) . And I can also side with anyone who says that there are times where the constant feeling of being rushed is more than enough to make you want to kick your game system across the street. But, you should also remember that it adds to the challenge.

Although this game is RIDICULOUSLY easy compared to the first one, it still has a fairly decent challenge, which is something you just don't find in games, anymore. They thought somewhat outside of the box and came up with something that worked well enough to deserve a sequel (which is made obvious by the amount of people that purchased the game).

I mean, look at Megaman; that game has a combination of everything old school gamers tend to complain about; enemies that respawn the second you walk off of the screen, getting hit causes a 'knock-back effect', you can't duck and shoot, etc. Yet, it's revered as one of the greatest video games in history. Why? Because it's fun, and it's difficult. I guess Capcom just thrives in that aspect.

It's not Lego Harry Potter, it's not another Guitar Hero reboot on normal mode, it's not some damn Naruto game, it's a game that takes quick thinking (for the most part), and I think that's what tends to turn people off of it.

I really wish they had some sort of sandbox mode (meaning, some sort of free play), but they decided not to include it, for whatever reason. I can fully agree that it would be a LOT more fun, if sandboxing were an option, but regardless, I think the game deserves a lot more credit then you're giving it.

Yeah, it's a rehash of Dead Rising 1, but sequels tend to do that; they are, after all, supposed to be a continuation of the game that was released prior, so it's usually good to use the same type of gameplay to keep those who liked the original roped in.

I'm willing to agree that the game can have an annoying side, but if you're up for the challenge, it can be a really great game!

Co-Op With Friends – Dead Rising 4

Dead Rising 4 and sees the return of everyone’s favorite overly sarcastic photographer, Frank West. As Frank returns to Willamette as another batch of the undead plague the city, players will have the opportunity to uncover the mystery as to why the zombies have returned. There’s also a neat co-op mode you can play with friends too, though it might not be what you expect.

You see, Dead Rising 4 doesn’t have a co-op campaign option, meaning that if you want to play through the next chapter of Frank West’s story, you’ll be going it alone. The co-op multiplayer option you can play with friends puts you and up to three others in the role of other NPCs from the campaign as you complete quests around the mall. Here’s how you play co-op with your friends in Dead Rising 4.

From the main menu, all you need to do is select the co-op mode. Choose your character from the character selection screen and then press A on your controller to proceed. Once here, simply select the empty ‘Invite’ slots and choose the friends you want to do some zombie slayin’ with. As long as your friend accepts the invite you’ll be put into a lobby together and will be all set to go.

There are a bunch of other options on this screen for you to choose from too, such as level selects, or simply joining the game with strangers.
