We have uploaded a patch (Universal Update) for Outlast that will update your game to version 2. Please download this Universal Update at your earliest convenience :)
Changelog:
- Support for Whistleblower DLC
- Adding the Insane mode: one life at hardest difficulty. Good luck :)
- Support for Japanese language
- Lots of small bug fixes and improvements

what does the update have to do with the new 'Outlast Whislteblower'? That`s another game, right?
I´m just asking as you mentioned 'Support for Whistleblower DLC'

Whislteblower is an add-on. You need the core game in order to install it.

I can´t install the game because of the new patch. When I am starting to update to the new patch, an error message appears that says 'Some errors occurred, see patch_log.txt for details '.
Can you tell me how to fix this? I am a huge Outlast fan and this is a dissapointment. I need answers, I am dying for playing the game.

I would check the patch log file and see what it says about the problem. Without knowing that, it's hard to say what the problem could be. Perhaps you can try running the patch as admin and see if that changes anything?
